One of my favorite weekends of the year is quickly arriving. It is the second weekend in May and that marks the date for the annual Reno River Festival. In the past I competed in this event, but the last two years my role has changed from competitor to judge, and spectator. Along with the three kayaking competitions there is tons of fun stuff to check out, good food to eat, and the always popular RunAmuck race. Last year I missed my chance to watch the RunAmuck because the freestyle kayaking competition was during the same time, but this year the schedule is different and I will be there to cheer everyone on. I am also really excited to get on the river and kayak with all of my old friends.
